The area of defence economics has a particular insertion in cooperative models since it is relevant to at least two dimensions: the international cooperative and the national interagency cooperative.

In the scope of international cooperation, it is possible to notice a significant increase in interest in national projects or those that can be nationalized in the long run, both because of the technological domain and the possibilities of gains to the National Industrial Base in terms of human resources, for example.

Derived from its very nature, successful interagency cooperation is a determinant for defence projects to engage with various sectors and harbour national interests linked to broad development.

The possibilities for collaboration between Latin American countries and NATO and European Union partners are in the focus of the work associated with this line of studies.
